South Africa was re-admitted into the Olympic games after abolishing apartheid. However, they were not permitted to use the old national flag in the 1992 Olympic games. They competed under this particularly trendy flag instead.
In 1996 and beyond, South Africa was permitted to compete under their new national flag, which isn't anywhere near as cool the flag used in the 1992 Olympics.
This flag would make an excellent corporate branding for an airline.
